When you're hungry enough to order a pizza delivered, you usually want that pizza to hit the spot. This one missed. Though mercifully scant in amount, the sausage has a distinct "off" flavor. Being scant though, it was easy enough to eat around it :) The cheese was good and seemed of high quality. The bread was okay. The delivery took an hour. Not the NY Style Pizza I was expecting.

Pizza is a no brainer here! Amazing. Get sausage! They cook a sausage loaf fresh daily to crumble in the various dishes and on pizza. The lasagna is amazing. Everything is made fresh by a real Italian family. Atmosphere leaves a little to be desired but is decent. The food overpowers the lack of ambiance!! Have the owner come out and genuinely ask if you enjoy everything and actually care what you think is refreshing. Stick to Italian meals or pizza. The only bad review I've heard about them was regarding overly toasted roll on a Philly Cheese steak sub. And if you're too full for their canoli, get one to go. You won't be disappointed.

I think they make the most authentic NY Pizza in Florida. It's also better than most of the Pizza I've had in the 44 years that I lived in NY and NJ.

One of my favorite pizza shops. My wife and I visit Palm Harbor a few times a year and we always make sure to stop in for lunch when in the area. They offer a great lunch special of two slices and drink for $5. The staff is friendly and courteous. The lunch slices are thin style cooked to perfection.

I give it 4 stars because the pizza is incredible, however the cannoli tasted terrible! I have not had anything else other than pizza and a cannoli so I am only rating that for food. The service was unique to say the least. I stopped there on a whim so I did not pre order. I ordered my food and the man taking my order was very nice. While I waited for my pizza all the workers came out of the kitchen to watch the tv in the dinning area and had conversations that were inappropriate to say the least. It made the wait very uncomfortable. I recommend the food but I would call ahead so there is no wait or have it delivered.

I had the small almond cranberry salad and it was super good, the dressing was tangy and the feta cheese very creamy and the chicken was grilled and flavorful. I'm a picky eater about chicken, but this was awesome! They also packed a ton into the small salad so it's enough without being too small! This order was takeout and I was getting soda in cans for someone and accidentally dropped one and the guy at the register let me get another one even though I offered to pay, and that was very cool of him to do that. I highly recommend this place!

I loved the pizza! The crust was nice and crunchy and had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. The antipasti salad also hit the spot and I loved the vinaigrette, it didn't have a in-your-face bite that a lot of bite that most vinaigrettes have. I loved the garlic knots, but some of then did not have enough seasoning. The calzone was HUGE! It was bigger then my face! The crust on that was nice and golden and was filled to the brim with very good cheese, although, I did not like the ricotta in it because it was bland. All together, I loved the pizza but fell short on the seasoning of the garlic knots. I did like them, but the others in my group called them "just baked balls of dough".

We've been waiting an hour and a half for pizza. which turned into 2+ hours and the owner actually hung up on me. we called back to cancel the cc which we had paid as we originally ordered and he fought with us. The worst experience ever!

The five stars are for the food. I'd recommend their salads and pizza. Their customer service I would give a 3.5 star too for the following: The first time I ordered a Capri pizza with a salad. It took an hour and They delivered a supreme pizza by accident when I called to ask them to deliver the Capri I felt like I was an inconvenience to them with how I was treated on the phone but they complied and in twenty minutes I received the correct pizza. I was slightly shocked that they didn't offer to adjust the payment given the pizza I paid for cost more then the one I had tried to order. Either way their pizza was delicious. The second time I ordered two salads. Their salads are amazing and fresh. I would highly recommend their salads.

They don't make the best pizza; however, it's really good. I like how the crust has a nice buttery taste to it or maybe garlicky. I also like how their pizza is nice and thin. Apparently it's hard for a lot of pizza places to make pizza crispy without overlooking the cheese but this place sure knows how to make a nicely crisp pizza pie. The prices are reasonable compared to the others around the area. I can't speak about their delivery only because I always pick up my pizza. The only reason I can't say that this place tastes like NY pizza is because I don't think they use enough yeast for the crust. I still haven't found a pizza place in Florida that knows how to make pizza with a puffy crust. I guess if it wasn't for their lack of yeast in their crust they would be real close to tasting like NY pizza. I do recommend people trying this place out.

I love Ricks Pizza and pasta. Its great quality. I have dined in and also picked up for take home since i live out of the delivery range. It is not fast food - its great quality food and that takes time. We do not expect to be in and out quickly when we dine in. The food makes it worth the wait :D

There is only one way determine if a place has great pizza. How's that, you ask? Get their cheese pizza, all pizzas start out a cheese pizza and the you add other toppings. No frills. I got a half-cheese-half-pepperoni. I wish I went whole cheese. The crust is amazing and has the taste of garlic, which is AMAZING! I mean after my first slice I thought we were on our way to a 5-star reviews. Then I had a pepperoni slice, and I was disappointed. I really can't explain it, when cheese is this good it's usually enhanced by pepperoni. This was not the case. Maybe the cheese was just THAT good. As I said I really can't explain it. Update: Had to drop them from 4-stars to 2-star. The last 2 times I got delivery it took over an hour and the final time the pizza was cold. As good as there pizza may be it wasn't very good cold. Also they are the only delivery place that can't find my apartment.

Ricks is an excellent NY pizza place. I've only been there once but the pizza is very good. Thin slice and a nice sauce. I can't wait to try their dinners

Had "the godfather" pizza. Delivery was quick friendly and fast. The pizza was great, one of the best I've had in a long time. Crust was perfectly done, the flavor was awesome. You could really taste the garlic infused oil and provolone. Next time I'm down this way I will definitely be going back here again!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
